Big Moves

The recent moves by the Cubs for Rich Harden and the Brewers for C.C. Sabathia came much earlier than I thought. I figured C.C. would be dealt, but I never imagined he would go this far before the deadline. You have to admire the Milwaukee Brewers for going out and getting this done. I think he will be an important addition to their team, and one they will need if they are to get into the post-season. If Yovani Gallardo was healthy I would say this team would make it for sure. I know its early to be saying this, but I think that the Brewers must win the wild card if they want to play in october, even with Sabathia. The cubs are just the better team.

Speaking of the cubs, I think their acquisition of Rich Harden was an even better move. This guy is flat out dealing right now. If he stays healthy, which I think he will, he will be this team’s ace. I was stunned the A’s traded him. Its been a rumor for a while, however I thought they would hang on to him at least through this year. Getting Harden also will give the Cubs a much better chance in the post-season, where pitching is key.
